Photographer and explorer based in Phuket
Mads D first visited Thailand in 1989 and has lived in the country since 2004, first in Chiang Mai and in Phuket since 2014. He has travelled more than 500,000 kilometres across Thailand, photographing coastlines, cities, temples and remote provinces.
He is General Manager of Kamala Beach Estate and a Level 10 Google Local Guide. Since joining Google Maps in 2015, he has shared about 30,000 photographs viewed more than 165 million times. His personally attributed work for Window on Phuket draws on first-hand travel, site visits, photography and long-term local knowledge.
