Ao Sane Beach is located in Mueang Phuket District, commonly associated with the Nai Harn area. It is legally public and accessible year-round. The beach is compact and divided into several small coves by granite boulders.

 

Cove Layout

The beach is formed by three small sandy sections separated by rocks. The shoreline is narrow, and usable sand space changes with tide levels. Large boulders dominate both the beach and the nearshore water.

 

North End (Nai Harn Direction)

The northern side faces toward Nai Harn Beach. This area provides one of the main snorkeling entry points, with rock channels and a sharp drop-off close to shore. Access paths are steep.

 

South End (Ya Nui / Phromthep Direction)

The southern end is more enclosed by rocks and vegetation. Water depth increases quickly, and footing can be uneven due to stones and coral fragments.

 

Safety

There are no confirmed lifeguard services. The seabed drops off sharply in snorkeling areas. Rocks, sea urchins, and uneven footing present injury risks. General monsoon-season hazards apply, including reduced visibility and occasional jellyfish reports.
