Yanui Beach is a compact public beach on Phuket’s southwest coast in Rawai subdistrict. Measuring under 200 meters, it is divided into two small coves by a prominent rocky formation. Its protected shape creates calmer water than nearby open beaches during the high season.
Central Rock Cove
The defining feature of Yanui Beach is the large rocky outcrop splitting the beach. This area forms shallow snorkeling zones with visible reef fish close to shore. Kayaks frequently launch here for short trips to the nearby offshore islet.
Windmill Viewpoint Side
The northern side of the beach sits below the Windmill Viewpoint hill. This section has a gentler sand entry mixed with rocks and is commonly used for swimming, kayaking departures, and family snorkeling.
Promthep Cape Side
The southern cove is narrower and rockier. It offers clearer water during calm conditions but requires care due to submerged rocks. This side is less suitable for casual swimming during rougher seas.
