Overview

Paradise Beach is located on the Patong headland in Kathu District, southwest of central Patong. The beach consists of small coves facing into Patong Bay and is protected from monsoon waves by surrounding headlands.

Central Cove

The main cove is approximately 150 meters long with light-colored sand and shallow water. The bay remains calm in both high and low seasons, making it one of the few west coast beaches suitable for swimming during the monsoon.

Rocky Headlands

Granite rocks border both ends of the beach and separate Paradise Beach from nearby coves. Coral and rocks are present offshore, and water shoes are recommended when entering the sea outside sandy patches.

Secondary Cove

A smaller adjacent cove is accessible via walkways within the beach club area. It is quieter but has the same shallow, sheltered water conditions.

Safety

The sheltered bay reduces wave and rip current risk, but sharp coral and rocks can cause cuts. There is no confirmed municipal lifeguard station. General Phuket seasonal marine caution applies.

Seasonality

From November to April, water is typically clear and calm. From May to October, the bay remains mostly wave-free compared to other west coast beaches, making it popular during the rainy season.

Facilities & Services

All facilities are operated by the private beach club. Toilets, showers, food, drinks, sunbeds, and seating are available inside the paid area. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, and bag checks are commonly reported.

Rules & Conservation

Paradise Beach is legally public, but access is managed by a private operator. An entrance fee is charged, and additional fees apply for loungers, pool use, or premium seating. Visitors should avoid stepping on coral and remove all trash.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere is commercial and managed. Mornings are quieter, while afternoons and evenings can be lively. The beach is also used for organized events and party nights at certain times.
